He is a Math whizz who competed against Seoul National University some 20 years ago while Yeo Reum has just been made a permanent employee after working for five years. However, just as she receives recognition in her company, she quits her stressful city job. She calculates that she can probably sustain for two years on her life savings, and hence plans to relocate to Angok to do absolutely nothing.
